As a Navajo woman hailing from the Navajo Nation, I find immense pride and inspiration in my cultural heritage. My graphic art serves as a tribute to various walks of life and pays homage to the Navajo Code Talkers. Each print incorporates the original Navajo code dictionary, ensuring its authenticity. The prints feature the names of the original Navajo Code Talkers and the message they transmitted during the Battle of Iwo Jima. Every aspect of the artwork's execution has been carefully considered. Furthermore, I am not only a graphic artist but also a painter and beadworker. I prefer using neutral color palettes in my paintings, but I like to introduce subtle bursts of color for added contrast. When it comes to beadwork, I primarily focus on creating unique jewelry pieces. Lately, I have been experimenting with intertwining my paintings and beadwork, resulting in a distinctive texture that adds an extra layer of uniqueness to my art.
