I am a Native American artist from the the Taos Pueblo tribe in Northern New Mexico. I am known primarily for my painted drums and stylized sculptures. I draw inspiration from the traditional images of my native roots which have been passed down for numerous generations. My Drums are traditionally made from deer, elk and buffalo hides and are painted with a sense of design that unites deep tradition with the contemporary. I use traditional hides that come from our sacred land located in northern New Mexico at the footsteps of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. All materials are natural except for the acrylic paint used on the surface paintings.
