I have been a basket maker since I was an teen. Although I make blackashbaskets using thek traditional method of pounding and splitting ash and picking and braiding sweetgrassweaving.I have a unique style. For almost 30 years I have collorated with Stonehorse to develop and create blackashbaskets with sculpture. Iwanted to be different from other baskets makers and wanted to tell stories of my people ,the Haudensaunee . I have reclaimed many old style techniques such as porcupine plating and moose hair tufting into my baskets along with sculpture. All baskets have stories of our strength or our sorrow.
