I have making blackash basketd since I was a teenager. For the last 30 years I have been collaborating with Stonehorse Goeman to create blackash baskets with sculpture. My intention was to incorporate our people's(Haudenosaunee) stories into the baskets using sculpture and moose hair tufting. Our stories are based on our traditions, strengths and sorrow.
