I start each carving with a shed antler elk/deer that I�ve found on my reservation. After the carving, I sand each piece until it�s smooth. My favorite part is the detailing .Then comes the buffing, each piece is done until shiny. After the buffing I add bundles of offerings to each carving. I use various gemstones on the bundles, the various colors represent each cardinal direction. I�m a fourth generation carver who learned from my grandmother who taught me. She seen my always watching, so it was natural for her to pass on the knowledge and tradition. I�m forever grateful for her teaching. I�m blessed to continue our family�s work, while making my own contribution to our family�s legacy.
