Various painting procedures in acrylic paint is applied to a canvas base. Streaking, washing, wet-on-dry, wet-on-wet, gradient, and dry brush application are some of the techniques used. Sometimes mixed media is applied to the base to help elevate the paint. This is achieved by replacing canvas with a Masonite board, glass, acrylic, paper, or metal sheet for the paintings' base. The us of pen, ink, marker, and pencil are also used to enhance the subject of the piece.
