I design and create jewelry using heavy gauge silver place and wires. I also use natural or stabilized turquoise and sea shells. I use an acetylene torch tip as fuel to heat, solder the silver together and heat the thick gauge silver to make it easier to work with like binding or stamping. I use hammering techniques to stamp designs of many different repoussé, more hammering to shape ring shanks, curve the bracelet/cuffs into shape, and pop out round disc for handmade beads. Pliers are used to shape the bezel cups, saw blades or varies sizes are used to cut out designs and fliers are used to smooth edges. Stones are set and bezel are pressed and crip down to hold the stones in place. I use a buffing machine with buffing wheels, bobbing compound and white rouge to clean and shine my jewelry.
