Sho Sho Esquiro (Kaska/Scottish/Cree) combines the inspiration of traditional indigenous textiles and modern urban culture to create art in the medium of textiles. Profoundly inspired by her childhood and life in the Yukon Territory Canada she uses beadwork, porcupine quills, abalone, moose hair tufting, hometanned moosehide, and various furs often trapped by her family members. Sho Sho has had the privilege of working with many elders in her community and has been taught to honor and respect all materials used.
