Portfolio Example & Artist Statement
Shane Perley-Dutcher

I am an experienced mixed media artist from Wolastoqiyik Neqotkuk/Tobique First Nation, blending traditional and non-traditional materials in my jewelry and sculptures. With three College Diplomas and guidance from elders, I craft unique pieces that merge cultural motifs with contemporary aesthetics. Over the years, I have transitioned to sculptural work, creating metal baskets and life-size sculptures honoring Indigenous women's resilience. I am excited to showcase my art at the 2025 Santa Fe Indian Art Market, reflecting my heritage and creative journey. Thank you for considering my work.
