Pueblo Wood Carvings are all hand carved with Shoeing files, pocket knives, and carving razors. The use of Cottonwood Root is the main source of wood used for art pieces. All mineral pigments from sands/ rocks and vegetable dyes are used to color the pieces once coated with the clay pigment. Many uses of duck feathers, grouse tails, partridge tails, macaw feathers, turkey feathers, horsehairs, tanned leathers, and hand-spun cotton to tie and dress the art pieces together.
