Design and create wearable art of my Diné life and southwest style of varies nation into shirts, jackets, traditional attire and accessories. With bold designs of landscape, geometric rug designs and animal motifs. Sample the Diné Style Cape is inspired of my grandmother’s weaving as I hand cut each bold design apply to flannel wool and appliqué the edge with a black, silver and white variegated silk thread with a pop of Turquoise for protection. With the amount of fabric to work with its my canvas the thread is the paint. As the Cape is completed in to wearable art a one size fit all. All the fabric is of Cotton, Satin, Flannel Wool, Trade cloth, velvet, posh lining and canvas. I cut the fabric and design into Native Style Garments or Accessories. I incorporate in a bold contrast of my photography onto fabric transfer to garments. I create in my humble studio with home model sewing machine, serger, cutting table and limited stock of fabrics to create. All garments are handmade.
