I raise churro sheep. During the spring season I sheer the wool off my sheep. I clean and wash the wool and then I hand card and hand spin the wool into thread. Black, brown, grey and white are the natural wool colors. These colors can vary from light to dark depending on the sheep. I use wild plants as a dye to produce colors gold, yellow, and reddish brown. I use aniline acid wool dye to produce other unnatural colors. I use a vertical rug loom to weave my rugs. My work is more traditional patterns such as cheif's blankets and wide ruin design.
