Navajo (Dine) weaving is a traditional art form deeply rooted in Navajo culture which utilizes materials that are available in the historic geographic area of the Dine but has evolved into incorporating more modern materials. The materials used in my rugs include: sheep wool that is hand spun and dyed from traditional vegetation sources such as sage, cedar, as well as from available current commercial dyes; upright wooden framed weaving looms; traditionally hand made wooded tools.
