Portfolio Example & Artist Statement

My photographs are printed in the traditional darkroom (handmade) creating carbon transfer prints, silver gelatin and platinum/palladium prints. This year I will be specializing in adding more carbon transfer prints using natural/earth pigments and sizing the prints with a gelatin base. Using the highest quality, pH neutral watercolor paper, each final print will resist UV light and fading to last longer than the collectors lifetime! Every print is so unique because every process is handcrafted therefore obtaining its own presentation unlike a digital print. Each hand printed photograph comes from a digital or medium/large format film camera. With digital systems, contact prints are made to the final size using modern technology and then taken into the darkroom.
