I'm from Akwesasne and I still live here with my family.  I have been making baskets since 2016 when I learned from my mother.  My daughter was organizing a pow wow at her university and asked me and my mother to set up to sell our baskets.  Since then I've started attending Art Markets to sell my baskets and I've entered art competitions.I make baskets using black ash splint and sweetgrass.  I weave my baskets using molds.  Sometimes I dye the splint using commercial dyes.
