I am a third generation potter. I learned from my grandmother and mom. I helped with gathering materials as well as shaping and finishing. I was strongly encouraged to learn and pass down my talent. My husbands family played a role in teaching me their techniques as well. Pottery making has been a major role in supporting my family. I enjoy creating my pieces. The famous question I am continuously asked is "how did you do that"? I am proud to to hand down my pottery skills to my kids and grandkids. I have entered many shows and won many ribbons. This has made me continue and get better with every piece. I put my personal thoughts, prayers and experiences from my life into each piece I create.
