My artwork is directly influenced by the pottery design of Laguna Pueblo and Hopi Pueblo as well as contemporary art. Some portrait work is either my own photography that I turn into paintings or (with written consent and encouragement) some images taken by Mr. Lee Marmon of Laguna pueblo people. The inclusion of some metallic leafing is also added to certain images to give emphasis on the light and movement which adds surface reflection and a type of alluring quality I enjoy with my paintings.
