Tools employed in the art process are the Navajo weaving tools: the hand spindle, weaving comb, warp batten beam, string heddle rod, and shed rod. The technique of use, as defined by the University of Arizona museum, is dubbed “the tapestry weave,” otherwise, known as “the Blanket Weave” is very common technique utilized amongst Navajo weavers and is distinguished by its interlaced and –locking colored yarn wefts, creating a clean presentation of the design within tapestry or blanket.
