I am a fourth generation Santa Clara Traditional Potter. I use all natural materials. I gather my materials from my homelands. I use clay temper, Volcanic ash sifted through 60,80 and 120 mesh screens. I Hand coil and sand with sand paper. I Stone polish with red Clay slip. My pottery are Fired traditionally outdoors with cedar wood, dry cow chips and dry horse manure.Long ago I learned by watching my great grandmas and great great aunts work as a team to make pottery. Now I work independently. I use animal designs in my pottery. I love what I do.
