Portfolio Example & Materials Statement
Kenneth Johnson

I create jewelry using the techniques of fabrication, stamp work, repousse, engraving, lost wax casting, sand casting and tufa casting. I work in copper, silver, gold, platinum and palladium to create my designs. I incorporate CAD (computer aided design) and CAM (computer aided manufacturing) into my work flow on some occasions. I have also created Mokume Gane (a Japanese layered metal technique) in studio and feature it in my work. I often use coins in my work and accent the design with faceted gemstones and inlaid gemstones that I set in studio.
