Portfolio Example & Artist Statement

I use sterling silver, natural stones, and sea shells. I first make the pendant, bracelet or ring, then cut each stone or shell and inlay it into place. I do Navajo turquoise bracelets in the old style, I use natural Morenci and Kingman Arizona turquoise. I antique the piece heavily to give it an old look. I used tufa rock for the Sandcast buckle. I carved both the large and small Horned Toad out of tufa rock, melted the silver then poured it into the mold. I soldered them together and placed turquoise in the eyes. I buff and finish the piece.
