Kathryn Hopkins (Cattaraugus Indian Reservation, 1986). is the lead designer of House of Hopkins. Works include hand beaded accessories and apparel. As a Seneca, I incorporate Haudenosaunee raised beadwork and traditional designs in my works. My designs are constructed of diverse and upcycled materials, and each piece is enhanced with a vibrant use of color. Aspiring to be a part of the Fashion Industry, I received a BA in Fashion Management (concentration in Fashion Merchandising). I have a varied retail experience, participated in design competitions and art shows throughout the United States. I am a listed artisan with the Indian Arts and Crafts Board, and a member of Art Leagues in New York and Texas. I am inspired by interior design, architecture, culture, nature, metalsmithing, and fashion. With the intricate use of beadwork and textiles, my statement pieces come from the heart.
