I create diverse wooden forms inspired by the wooden carvings of my Mississippian ancestors. Using modern wood carving and painting tools I create polychrome effigies of ducks, geese, swans, woodpeckers, and other animal relatives that were ceremonially significant to my ancestors - relatives that remain ceremonially significant in my tribal community today.
