When creating my pieces I use 20 guage to create my designs. Then I cut every detail of the design out which I then overlay onto a 22 guage piece of silver. Depending on the design I also you 14k gold and/or natural stones. With overlay you have to solder both pieces together which is a technique of its own, because if you over heat you can melt or cause firescale onto the piece. After the pieces are soldered then it comes to forming. After forming is completed then I finish my piece with a high polish.
