Textiles are made directly by hand. Using an upright handmade loom each rug weaving is made by counting the warp threads left to right to place the pattern in the rug. Each rug is made with wool warp and wool yarn. Patterns used are regional styles from throughout the Navajo reservation. Tools used are hand combs, batons and long wooden shuttles.
