Portfolio Example & Artist Statement

Necklace #1 – Majestic- Applied overlay technique with 18/20g SS. Kingman Turquoise/Coral were carefully created using self-lapidary techniques. Incorporated Hopi overlay pottery design, waves & Navajo leaf swirls. Navajo Pearls are ½” dia. 22g SS. All Turquoise/Coral stones were surrounded by 20g SS bezels.Necklace #2 – Sacred Bliss- Applied a 3-D overlay technique with 10/18g SS to assemble the Navajo 4 Sacred Mtn. Rug design. Kingman Turquoise created using self-lapidary techniques. Bezels made out of 22g SS. Inside of each rug pendant is a chiseled design. Closed Navajo pearls are 22g ½” dia. SS. Open Navajo pearl rug design beads are 14g SS 3/8”- 5/8”. Rug design also incorporated in the clasp.Necklace #3 – Inspiration - Applied overlay technique w/ 18/20g SS. Kingman Turquoise were carefully created using self-lapidary techniques. Incorporated Hopi prayer feather design on all pendants. 1/2” SS 22g cymbal beads, SS triangle beads varying from 3/8”-5/8” in length and 14/22g SS.
