The metalsmithing process depends on the type and style of artwork. Typically, the process begins with design, then implementation of the designs onto the metal. Next, would be either jigsaw cutting, stamping, or soldering. Then placement of stones, bezeling if needed. Additional soldering of bezels, and other metal material is placed onto main piece of metal. Once all metals are melted or soldered, either the oxidation or engraving process is administered. Then the final stages of the artwork is the polishing of the metal and stones if required. Once polishing is complete, depending on the style of artwork, it can be placed onto leather or attached with other metal materials for a complete product.
