Ellouise Toya

Ellouise Toya, first Native American woman from Santo Domingo Pueblo to handmade each piece of jewelry from start to finish. She was taught the ways of traditional jewelry/Heishi Bead making though her parents. All her pieces are from various raw material/stones i.e. turquoise, coral etc. Sterling Silver is used in most all her pieces, all hand soldered. Ellouise, is also widely known for her Heishi Bead necklaces. Heishi is produced with the hands of a patient and skilled craftsperson. This is a pain staking process, of cutting, drilling, stringing, grinding and detailed polishing. Ellouise also designs/creates pendants, earrings, bracelets, rings, etc. Many of these pieces are reversable, two-sided with two different stones. She is widely known and sought after for her various inlay necklace, earring, rings and pendant pieces. Ellouise is talented unique artist that continues to produce authentic native American jewelry.
