Portfolio Example & Artist Statement

the process of my inlay art is very diverse techniques. However, the beginning stages starts off the same from a rough piece of stone that I slice to the desired shapes and colors that is needed. Next, I slice the backing from stone and shape to the desired shape that I will begin my inlay on. I also incorporate sterling silver and coper squares and wire work to add a variety of native American inspired designs. After the inlay process I then begin the process of grinding, find sanding and polishing the finished piece and begin wrapping them in sterling silver. Some of the sterling silver work has overlay, hand textured, hand cut, and or hand stamped designs to complete the finishing touches of silver work. Some of my work is also combined with handmade cabochons, handmade hesh and choker work that also includes the process of slicing rough stones, cutting into squares, drilling holes, string on hard wire to grind, fine sand and polish then string once completed.
