I hand make pottery from traditional clay found on the Acoma Pueblo lands. It is washed, sifted and dried before grinding into a fine sand. I use traditional black and orange paints to paint old acoma designs as well as designs that have been handed down to me by my mother. The orange colored paint is from sandstone and the black colored paint comes from the Rocky Mountain bee plant.
