My artwork is a mix of traditional Native/Navajo themes and digital techniques. I draw inspiration from Navajo iconography and pop-culture to create pieces that connect deeply with the viewer. Each piece starts as a simple sketch in Procreate app. I limit myself to four layers to ensure the highest quality resolution in the final image. I sometimes take advantage of the digital tools available to me such as warping, pixilation, and layering. This allows me to create a unique and eye-catching blend of traditional and modern elements in my artwork. Once complete, I print my pieces on rough fine art paper to add texture and depth to the final product. The use of museum quality paper and ink ensures that each piece is long-lasting and retains its vibrant colors over time. By blending traditional themes and digital techniques, I aim to create artwork that honors my Navajo culture while pushing the boundaries of what's considered traditional art.
