Through her heartwork and activism, Christal hopes to inspire the strength, revitalization, resilience, and beauty of Anishnabe culture. She has showcased traditional techniques such as etching, beadwork and quillwork embroidery to create diverse cultural items including jewelry, portraits, textiles and wearable art. She sees her art as a powerful tool for reclaiming and celebrating Anishnabe identity, and is dedicated to passing on these traditions to future generations.
