I am from San Felipe Pueblo and have created jewelry since the age of 18. I was taught by my late husband, who is from Santo Domingo Pueblo and his family. I give much appreciation to my sister and mother in law. Two hummingbirds flew into my workspace while I was working on my pieces. I prayed to them as they blessed me with inspiration to create my unique reversible necklaces. This was the assurance I needed. I've received many ribbons from exquisite art shows from The Smithsonian, Heard, SWAIA and the Autry. My travels to showcase and sell my jewelry have been nation/worldwide. I use all natural shells and stones with occasional stabilized Turquoise from Kingman, AZ. I cut, grind ,sand and polish by hand. When I see people wearing my jewelry and they express how much they love their piece, this inspires me to create more and push myself towards more unique and contemporary work. I dream and visualize my designs and colors and with time put them together to make a beautiful piece.
