The technique I use for my artwork is contemporary. However, I always aim for my artwork to be traditional and old style as possible. Modern materials used are velveteen and heavy weight linens. My signature would be the heavy emphasis of embellishments used on the garments I create. All embellishments are made of fabricated sterling silver details and handmade sterling silver details. The handmade sterling silver embellishments are hand crafted from my own hands and placed onto the sewn garments I crafted myself. I do not use pre-made patterns. I draft and compose the patterns of all my garments myself. I really mean it when creating artwork that resembles the past. From the vintage, heavy weight fabrics to the heavy silver that made outfits pop. The materials I used are thought of thoroughly and have intention for every step of my artwork process.
