Catherine Black Horse is enrolled in the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. She is a member of the Tom Palmer Band and the Beaver Clan. Catherine Black Horse is a self-taught artist who is known for her intricate beadwork and storytelling art style. Her beaded art pieces often have roots in historical photos dating from the 1800’s. She regularly uses size 15 seed beads for beadwork projects. Catherine’s beaded works have recently earned her recognition through awards at SWAIA’s Santa Fe Indian Market.
