Portfolio Example & Artist Statement

I start my jewelry making process by utilizing sheets of sterling silver, silver wire at various gauges, and then cut my pieces out accordingly. The cuts I make are according to designs that I have drawn up in my mind. I will then create the bezel, backing, rope, stars, moon crosses, steps, and cuff. Once all the silver is set, i solder the pieces together and proceed to hand stamping each pieced with vintage stamps that were handed down from my mentors. At times, I do incorporate, 14k/18k gold, copper, shells and other gemstones into my jewelry pieces. After all the stones and stamping are set, I then proceed with buffing, texturing, and finish with a high polish. My jewelry is designed to be an investment pieced that can by passed down through the generations.
