Aiy yu kwee (Hello),My glass artwork is made by fusing layers and pieces of glass together using a kiln. I apply designs onto the glass surface using a powdered glass medium that I mix and apply by hand. These designs are based on my Yurok heritage basket designs along with original ones that I've created. The individual glass pieces and designs are melted together at around 1450 F into a solid flat piece of glass. When the glass has cooled down enough to handle, I shape it in the kiln using ceramic molds in a process called slumping glass.
