My "Artist" goal is to enhance the appreciation of traditional art and carry on many traditions of my Lakota relations. My focus remains on "Lakota" style designs and beadwork. This includes items such as dance regalia, purses, moccasins, miniature traditional dresses, medallions with a strong emphasis on revitalization on the making of traditional horse regalia and dressing our Lakota War Ponies in the finest beadwork. I primarily utilize the traditional lane stitch for large pieces. For smaller items such as medallions I utilize the applique beading method. For fans I use the peyote beading method. Beading directly on traditionally brain tanned deer hides, I work with size 11, 12, 13 and 15 glass seed beads. For edge beading and finishing touches I use a variety of Swarovski Crystals and fire polish beads in all shapes and styles.
