A self taught Haudensosaunee bead embroidery artist, they originally began the practice as a vehicle to find their way home to their teachings. Beading dreams and stitching stories of their experienced world, each piece is an amalgamation of where they have been, where they are going, and aspirations of where they wish to be. They have reverse engineered, through archival photos and historical pieces, the raised and flat beadwork techniques using contemporary designs on cotton velveteen and antique French silk velvet using a variety of sized seed beads, crystals, and fresh water pearls. Every design attempts to encapsulate the magic and honor the material culture that is bead embroidery.
