I use natural stones, shells and wood for traditional mosaic inlay. Some examples of stones used are turquoise, lapis and Minnesota pipestone. Examples of shells I use are mother of pearl, black lip mother of pearl, moon shell and others. Stones and shells are cut and individually inlayed on shell or wood then sanded and polished on lapidary machinery.
